"Starch plastic" can be used as feed

Researchers from the food engineering department at the State University of Campinas, Brazil, after four years of research, have recently developed a plastic that can be used not only as a natural biodegradable but also as a feed. According to reports, this new material named "starch plastic", the main production of raw materials is corn starch, gelatin and water, the strength of synthetic plastic than the general small, suitable for disposable plates, cups and cutlery. After they are used up, these utensils can be crushed and used as food and feed. Since the main raw material of this plastic is corn starch, the cost is lower than that of ordinary plastics. Campinas State University is the most scientific and technological university in Brazil. The researcher of the project said that "starch plastic" has been successfully tested in the laboratory and applied for a patent, but industrial research is required before it can be put into commercial production.
