The use of textured ink roller

The correct adjustment of the various parts of the printing press has a direct bearing on the normal operation of the printing equipment and the quality of the printing. Here we talk about personal experience with the use of anilox roller.

The function of the anilox roller is to continuously accept the ink layer from the surface of the ink fountain roller and transfer it to the next stage of the ink transfer roller, which is an important part of the ink supply system of the printing machine. Whether the adjustment of this link is accurate or not depends on whether the scope of printing and ink supply adjustment can meet the needs of adjustment operations.

In actual operation, the operator sometimes encounters a situation in which the amount of ink in the print is too large and the amount of ink needs to be reduced, but the amount of ink is slightly reduced, and the amount of ink in the print is insufficient immediately. This is because the adjustment of the gap between the anilox roller and the ink fountain roller is too small to cause the adjustment space to be too small, and only the two states of ink discharge and no ink discharge are achieved, and a gradual adjustable range is lacking. Without such a gradual adjustment range, it is impossible to adjust the amount of ink according to the actual needs of the print product.

A certain gap should be maintained between the anilox roller and the ink fountain roller to maintain such a gap, so that there is a transition space between the ink fountain roller filled with ink and the anilox roller after the release of ink. The amount of ink supplied by the ink fountain roller to the anilox roller is changed by the ink key.

The gap between the anilox roller and the ink fountain roller is too small and can cause abnormal wear on the surfaces of the two rollers. When the equipment is in normal operation, the surface speed of the anilox roller and the ink fountain roller greatly differs. If the two rollers come into contact and generate friction, the damage is inevitable. To avoid such failures, only the gap between the anilox roller and the ink fountain roller is often inspected to ensure that the gap between the two rollers is within a certain range.

The anilox roller is also a kind of metering roller. The amount of ink that can be transmitted by the anilox roller is mainly determined by the number of screen lines (the number of perforation lines per inch) and the amount of ink transmitted through the mesh (mesh volume). It also has a very important influence on the ink transfer performance of the anilox roller. In general, in the case where the thixotropic ink is stable, the higher the number of lines of the anilox roller, the smaller the ink transfer amount, and vice versa. In addition, the number of lines of the anilox roller also determines its own scope of application. In general, when printing large areas of solid color blocks or requiring less high-quality images, consider using a low number of textured ink transfer rollers to ensure sufficient ink supply. Conversely, when printing fine images or fine text and lines, an anilox roller with a relatively high number of lines should be used to prevent the gradation of the hue value from being impaired due to the small dots in the high light region being immersed in the ink holes. The fine lines become thicker.
