A bubble appears in the ink
Foam in the ink is prone to appear in summer, especially in black ink, because the viscosity of black ink is the lowest, and an appropriate amount of defoamer can be added to the ink; the ink tank is filled to prevent air from entering; when the ink is circulated on the printing press, it should be Try to avoid stirring and other methods to solve.
Second, the aging of ink viscosity changes
The viscosity of most inks should not change during the shelf life. If the stored ink should be stirred regularly, avoid storage at higher temperatures because the viscosity of the ink will decrease at high temperatures.
Third, flocculation
Flocculation refers to the aggregation of pigment particles, causing the ink to lose its luster. This problem can be solved by gradually slowing the latex solvent while stirring, but excessive solvent will cause the viscosity of the ink to decrease.
Fourth, the change in gloss
Since the pigment particles are not completely wetted from the beginning of the ink preparation process, the pigment particles are continuously wetted and gloss enhancement occurs. If water is added to the solvent ink, the gloss of the ink will be reduced.
Fifth, precipitation
Pigment precipitation is also one of the problems that occur with long-term storage of ink. After the ink is stored for a long time, the upper part is thin, the viscosity is small, and the color and concentration are poor; while the situation in the lower part is opposite to the situation. This is due to the deposition of solid components (pigments or fillers) in the ink that deposit in the container or ink fountain, sometimes even forming a hard mass at the bottom of the container. This type of ink itself is a relatively thin fluid with low viscosity, and it is prone to precipitation after long-term storage. If the relative density of the pigment or filler is too large, the pigment will not be properly dispersed in the binder. Some of the ink's own problems can also lead to pigment precipitation, such as too high thixotropic, large pigment particles in the ink.
Six, thixotropy
Thixotropic gravure printing inks are problematic inks for "body bones," but can be returned to the original body by stirring.
