1PageMaker automatically jumps consecutive pages

PageMaker automatically continues page skipping by pressing Shift-Option and selecting “Page skip” function in PageMaker. PageMaker is a very common typesetting software, so some books or regulations will use PageMaker typesetting, when the manuscript is completed, designers often preview every full page, and jump to each page, just press the page number in the lower left corner Image, or select "GotoPage" in the "Layout" list. But with a dozens of pages of files, page by page page by mouse, or page skip by list, is very time-consuming, so PageMaker has a function of automatically continuous page jump, just press Shift-Option to select "page" at the same time The “Gotopage” under the (Layout) list will automatically skip through the pages until you press any key on the keyboard to stop previewing. This is very convenient and easy.

2PageMaker Quick Connect Text Block

When using Pagemaker to typeset Pageman in a copyandpaste way by using a copyandpaste method, sometimes it is necessary to merge multiple discrete text blocks into a single text block. If the block and the block itself are already connected, it is sufficient to pull down the roller shutter. However, if there is no connection between them, then only copy or cut, and then paste. Of course, this is one of the methods, but if there are multiple paragraphs of text to be linked, this method will be too cumbersome and time-consuming. In fact, we can select more than one text block at a time and link them together in one go. First of all, use the indicator tool to select the text block to be connected, of course, the best order first, press copy or cut, then open a new text block, press the paste, just those scattered text blocks, will give the connection Together.

PageMaker puts in a graph and asks if you include this graph or does not include it. In the case of a disassembled EPS image, it contains only the header. Its interpretation is very low, and its megabyte is less than PageMaker's threshold. PageMaker automatically includes this file header and no longer links the remaining DCSs. In the case of a color file, the output will become a low-accuracy map. Similarly, the diagrams contained in the PageMaker file are modified in other software, and PageMaker does not relink, and the old ones that have not been modified are still coming out.

PageMaker takes a long time to rewrite the screen when changing pages or making important changes.

Fault: PageMaker needs more screen repaint time than word processor because it needs to calculate precisely where each element is placed on the page.

Solution: Do not use a color master. Select the black and white option in the monitor panel.

When doing layout, use the edit menu's pre-set command to make Greek text large. PageMaker displays Greek text much faster, and when you want to read the text format, you can always change the font size back to the actual size.

Each time a page is displayed on the screen. If the layout is a folded page, do not display two pages (in the PAGESETUP dialog box, cancel the FACINGPAGE option). It takes more time to write two pages than one page.

In the PAGE menu, change the display to be smaller than the actual page.

Solution: From the PAGE menu, select the "FITIN WINDOW" command and press the "SHIFT" key. This will select the "full window display" magnification standard, showing the entire clipboard around the file.

Fault: PageMaker has default settings for each new file format.

Solution: * Create a set of custom format values, even store the default text, graphics or home page, create a document, save it as a template file * To change the existing default settings when opening any new file, You should select the menu command for the desired setting without having to open the file. In this case, the default settings for all new files will change.

7 do not want to hit two or three buttons to open a multi-level nesting dialog box

Fault: Many dialogs generated by PageMaker commands contain dialogs

Solution: Click OK or CANCEL in the current dialog box and hold down "OPTION". PageMaker automatically closes all dialogs and returns to the layout.

Fault: After clicking the place text command, you cannot reply from the EDIT menu.

Workaround: Instead of clicking to place the text in the file, click the pointer tool in the toolbox. This cancels the placement operation.
