The bizhub architecture makes the four units of copying, printing, scanning, and fax use a common hardware environment such as CPU and memory. The Emporon printing system integrates common interfaces to achieve a wider range of connectivity. The bizhub Open API, which is scheduled to be launched at the end of the year, can use third-party applications to control printing and scanning.
