Japanese scientists have developed special plastic beer bottles!

We may find it difficult to find beer in plastic or plastic bags. Because beer in plastic bottles is easy to run out, it will also affect the taste and shelf life of beer. At the same time, the chemical composition of plastic packaging may interact with beer and produce substances that are not good for the human body.

However, Japan’s Mitsubishi Plastics Co., Ltd. recently announced that it will collaborate with Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd. to develop a 1-liter plastic bottle that is specifically designed for beer.

The inner wall of these bottles will have a coating to prevent the chemical composition of the plastic package from interacting with the beer. If the two companies succeed in the experiment, the plastic bottle will prevent the beer from flowing and the taste of the beer will be the same as that of the glass packaging. The coating on the inner wall of the plastic bottle also enhances its sealing performance.

Mitsubishi Plastics said that since 2010 it has used this type of plastic bottle to store Japanese rice wine and wine, but it is still the first time it has been used to store beer.

Based on the consideration that glass beer bottles are easily broken due to safety issues, some sports events have stipulated the use of plastic bottles for beer, such as plastic beer bottles used during the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
