The simulated metal piece (Figure 3) is a popular clothing decoration method. You can easily make similar effects in software like CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator. In order to create this pattern, I first designed a metal shape in CorelDraw, and carefully outlined the path with my favorite lines. Finally, I follow the procedure, step by step to integrate the shape of the metal sheet with the text path of the centerline.
The separation step still has to be carried out as usual, except that I have to apply a layer of gel where there are metal sheets on the color printed pattern to facilitate the shedding of the metal foil on these areas, leaving the desired simulation effect. The pattern thus processed is usually cured in a dryer and then printed on a thermal transfer printer. The printer's parameter settings are exactly the same as those set in other rainbow foil printing processes.

Using Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw software, copy a simple shape in a text path, so that you can produce a decorative pattern that closely resembles the effect of the metal sheet.
Online hot stamping
The most active bronzing technology on the market today is online bronzing. The area where bronzing is required on printed matter produced using this technique is in stark contrast to other areas, allowing viewers to really see how and where the metal foil glows. To use online technology to print the word "Chicago" (Figure 4), silver gel is used as a foil adhesive for T-shirts. The order of printing is as follows: Silver photogel, glitter material and silver foil (Crown Royal) are printed on T-shirts on a thermal transfer printing machine, and white, glittering materials and royal blue are printed on the inline printing machine. .
This production process is only suitable for professional printing plants that have a large demand for foil or transfer printing. Since all its processing steps are carried out on-line, the cost of the equipment is a factor that people have to consider. If people are not very precise about the design elements, then the flash area on the T-shirt can be printed, stamped and sorted on the printing press, and the laser logo can be used to indicate other parts of the pattern that need only to be printed. However, this scheme cannot be applied to all patterns. Many of the larger automatic press manufacturers, such as MHM and M&R, are now able to provide online press systems for their own presses. This technology is expensive, but if the pattern is designed to be reasonable, it can indeed express the effect of metal foil, giving people unexpected surprises.
Repeated heating of the metal foil is the most important issue for this type of printing. Some printed foils lose their luster during passing through the dryer or the rapid curing unit. At this time, people need to test the metal foil to determine the best curing temperature and scrub resistance.

Applying foil between color patterns may be an adventurous choice, but when you start printing this kind of clothing, you can appreciate the value of online printing technology.
Other methods
Some alternatives to hot stamping do not make sense at all. The other methods we are talking about here are the use of relatively thin plasticizing inks (such as Nova base or Hydrosol base) and water-based inks before printing. You don't have to go online, but the pattern on your clothes shows the effect of online bronzing because not all elements of the pattern need to be gilded. Both of the above bronzing methods (using plasticizing inks and water-based inks) require more effort from R&D personnel to make them more suitable for the actual production process and to achieve greater improvements in quality and yield. The faster you act, the greater the market share.
I think that any screen printer with a thermal transfer printer should consider bronzing as the preferred method of decoration. The gilded printed matter is one of the brightest prints currently on the market, and the cost of the metal foil is also relatively lower than the cost of other special effects inks on the market. Although people should seriously consider its cost efficiency before using metal foil in the actual production process of clothing printing, as a special effect on T-shirts, bronzing is indeed an ideal choice for people!
