Fully automated conversion of color space technology

Increasing digital prepress operations have prompted us to automate the conversion of data from one gamut space to another. However, the gamut space conversion must incorporate many replication variables, at least including printing methods, dot gain, ink, and paper. The reason why the definition of accurate color conversion for ordinary prepress software is hard and skilled enhancer is mainly because the prepress software lacks the automatic function. In the traditional offset to gravure conversion, standard offset data is processed for gravure printing. Use ICC color management for color conversion to get different print results

Another method for color conversion is the ICC Profile. As a guideline, ICC profile doesn't get the results you expect. The tristimulus value used by CIELab to convert gamut space used in this process lacks the black channel (four-color) required for accurate color conversion.

In this software, the original value and the target value are calculated directly in CMYK—without using the Lab value. Automatically create GMG FileOut profile (color management document)

The GMG FileOut profile is generated by the software on the basis of copies of reference samples or prints of the respective original and target gamut spaces. The profile file is automatically generated using repeated, spectrophotometric measurements.

Once the profile file is created, the gamut space conversion is fully automated via the hot folder. Various hot folders are installed with different gamut spaces or data formats. On the output side, GMG FileOut supports PDF, TIFF, TIFF-IT, All-in-CT, and CT/LW data formats.
