Comparison of Artificial Color Matching and Computer Color Matching (I)

In the field of color management, computer color matching has been going on in foreign textile, plastic and coating industries for a number of years. Most of the imported products used in the above industries have not been widely used. This is a strange phenomenon. In the concept of production management, the standardization of processes, the improvement of efficiency and the enhancement of quality are the goals pursued by producers. The special color matching work in the lithographic printing factory is facing the disadvantages of low production efficiency, waste of raw materials, poor quality stability, and high dependence on manpower, and runs counter to the manufacturer's pursuit of goals. In the lithographic color printing factory, there are often some special-colored printing products that require the printer's printer to be the color printer of the ink factory. The color matching inks are prepared in advance according to the color ticket or print sample specified by the customer before printing on the machine. However, the artificial color matching work relies on personal color matching experience. It is impossible to grasp the time. The color matching work does not include the adjustment after the on-machine test and printing, but it is half-small and half-day.
Among the special color prints, many customers are very picky about the color difference of colors, such as medicines, cosmetics, food packaging boxes, corporate identity colors, etc. Their colors have anti-counterfeiting features, and many customers Keep the color formula secret to prevent the product from being forged. In addition, some drug packaging colors have the function of identification. In order to prevent mistakes, the color is also very strict. The reasons for influencing color accuracy in printing plants are different. They include the size of the ink itself, the whiteness of the paper, the difference in ink absorption, and the lack of a standard specification for the colorimetric environment, plus the error of human judgment, which actually makes the color match. The staff is at a loss. And there are many kinds of lithographic prints, and there is no objective standard for chromatic aberration. The leader and color matching in the factory only depends on subjective judgments (experiences and feelings) of the individual to determine the allowable range of color difference, it is not easy to achieve the color requested by the customer, or a waste of time is required in some chromatic aberrations. Printed on. In the printing industry, we often see many inks used by the frontline and printed ink leftovers. They accumulate year after year. Occasionally similar features can be used, and the quality requirements are lax.
The traditional color matching method is based on human judgment of the color ratio, or mixed color tones based on the color ratios marked by color tickets produced by major ink companies. This special color matching method requires people who have both color matching capabilities and practical experience, and because of the different color sensations of the dispensers, human factors are likely to be different.
Regardless of the method for color matching, the following are considerations for printing color matching:
First, manual adjustment of ink points:
1. When adjusting the ink, take a small amount of ink to obtain the correct proportion, and then allocate a large amount.
2. When colorizing, it is necessary to determine the direction of color correction according to the color rendering table.
3. First select the ink closest to the desired color based on the color chart. Carefully measure the various ingredients during the transfer and record them.
4. With clean and bright colors, try to use the basic colors. The closer the hue is, the brighter and cleaner the colors will be in each other. The more distant the hue is, the higher the gray level will be.
5. When mixing, the main components should be weighed and placed on the mixer or mixer plate. Less ingredients are placed last and a better mixing effect can be obtained.
6. If the color is too light, you can add a solid color, black or gray for the hue, but if you use black or gray, it will become cloudy.
7. If the color is too dark, the processing method is very simple. Adding white or a lighter color suitable for the hue can make the ink color fade.
8. When the color is too saturated and bright, you can add gray or black, and vice versa.
9. Accurate and clean are important conditions for ink transfer.
10. Make sure that the materials used for inking are suitable for mixing with each other so that the materials remain stable after mixing.
11. The preparation of light-colored printing ink must be based on Victoria's oil. White ink is not added. Because of the strong white pigment activity, it is easy to discolor other colors.
12. The tinting of the selected ink, if it is still unsatisfactory after a few adjustments, should be immediately discontinued.
Second, the pre-painted ink spread cloth 1. The ink sample and the ink is made in parallel with the ink knife to expand the ink, compare the thin ink, ink thick color and transparent.
2. The corrector and RI (ROTARY INKING) tester are usually used to judge the ink on paper. If there is no such device, use the rubber roller to spread the ink on the glass plate and then transfer it to the paper; or use the finger or the thumb to open the abdomen and open it on the paper, which is to compare the ink volume near the printing state. View.
3. If the ink is made to dry in the dry state, it will often fail. The reasons for using the paper as much as possible when coloring are also included here.
Third, the choice of lighting source usually take the north above the light source for color matching and natural color comparison; if the night than the color with a standard light source; color measurement, CIE believes that the C light source is the most widely in the world, but the printing society that is high The color temperature of 5,000±200°K is the ideal colorimetric source with illumination of 1000 Lux as the standard illumination, upper limit of 1500 Lux, and lower limit of 700 Lux, (Lux: brightness at 1 meter from the bulb of 1 W).
