4-piece standing pouch

Jel-Sert chose Kapak's QuadPAKTM stand-up pouch for its glutamate fortified beverage Energice. QuadPAKTM features side gussets, 4-piece construction, polyester/aluminium foil/nylon/polyethylene, and Smart SpoutTM re-sealable caps.

Stand-up pouches are printed with high-precision 8 colors. The shape of the pouch is similar to a box for easy gripping by consumers. The 4-piece structure has a large space for printing graphics and product information. Compared with the traditional 2-piece standing pouch, this kind of packaging has increased its content by 50%. In addition, because the bottom of the bag is square, it is easier to stand on the shelf.

Energice uses a continuous Hensen CMF-200 filler at a speed of approximately 200 bags/minute. The beverage can be stored at room temperature for 2 years, and the experimental shelf life is as long as 3 years. The packaging was introduced by the General Nutrition Centers (GNCs) in March 2004 and consumers are satisfied with the Energice beverage and packaging.
