The principle of color conversion

The conversion between different color modes is based on an intermediate CIE Lab value as a reference. For example, the following example uses the characteristics of Monitor A to set a color R: 200 G:20 B:20, and the relative Lab value is L:50. a: 66 b:52, based on the characteristics of printer A to find out the value of CMYK.

However, when switching to printer B, the same display screen color will use another set of CMYK values to produce the same effect. Similarly, the color produced by CMYK on printer B is displayed in Monitor B. The RGB value must be changed to another set of values to obtain the same color, but note that the value on the lower middle Lab is unchanged.
