Scale, full automation becomes the new features --- food and packaging machinery industry overview

During the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" period, China's food and packaging machinery industry achieved considerable development in terms of product variety, grade, sales, and export value.
According to statistics, since 1995, China's food and packaging machinery has developed steadily, which is higher than the national economic growth rate over the same period. The total output value has increased from 9.26 billion yuan in 1995 to 27 billion yuan in 1999; the number of product varieties has increased from 2700 to 3500. The total value of exports in 1995 was 228 million U.S. dollars, and by 1998 it had reached 400 million U.S. dollars.
According to the China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association, the development of China's food and packaging machinery industry in the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" has shown several characteristics: First, it has gradually matured and many products have reached a new level. The 20-meter folding film blowing machine independently developed by our country is currently only capable of producing 4 in the world; high-speed 6-color gravure printing machine, double material blowing machine, multi-layer co-extrusion equipment, freeze-drying equipment and pulp molding machinery, etc. Both have reached the international level in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The second is that the equipment is gradually scaled up and the production capacity of the production line is rising. For example, the beer bottling line with 40,000 bottles/hour has been operating stably, and the 72,000 bottles/hour filling line will soon be available; the non-aerobic beverage plastic bottled production line has reached 12,000 bottles/hour, and the 18,000 bottle/hour filling line has been put into production. A 7-layer corrugated cardboard production line with a width of 2500 mm and a speed of 180 m/min has been in operation. The third is to gradually develop fully automated. Products with complex movement and high technical content have already begun to emerge. Industrial robots developed by the Institute of Mechanical Industry Automation have been successfully used in packaging production lines.
In spite of this, China's food and packaging machinery industry will continue to focus on the development of new products and technology.
