1. Accuracy of positioning

2. Elevation and contours

Personal understanding, a very detailed description of the mountainous terrain [such as 10-20 meters] may be required for traditional positioning and orientation skills, and this skill has been completely replaced by GPS. Too large scale maps, even though they are accurate, often do not make much sense to walkers.
3. Geographical names and topography
Do not superstition the landmarks and place names on the map. When you communicate with the fellow villagers in the field, you will find that there are still many mistakes in military maps.
In addition, some important canyons, cliffs, and waterfalls, for example, are difficult to determine from aerial photographs and computer-generated terrain data if they are not physically verified. Therefore, this is also the part where there are many large map defects.
4. Timeliness and technological advancement
Some of the roads have already been abandoned, and some places where there are important mountain roads are not marked. The construction of the motherland is changing with each passing day. New roads, buildings and landscapes cannot be displayed on large-scale maps in time.
Many large-scale maps are 50-60 editions, and the new ones are usually 80 editions. Especially if there are complex mountainous areas, they must be kept in mind when they are used.
5. Each has its own characteristics
The traditional maps express the original geographic information by means of mapping and abstraction, including the artificial understanding and interpretation of data. Most of them may be accurate, but mistakes are inevitable. Older versions of older maps were particularly so because of time and technology limitations.
GE's data is more of the original terrain and landform data that have been processed automatically. The abstraction data is relatively limited, but the human element is relatively small and requires personal interpretation and annotation.
Rationality needs emotional replenishment, and intuition requires abstract sublimation. If possible, we can use “judgment and reflection†to combine “GE and large-scale mapsâ€.
