At the National Plastics Fair (NPE) in Chicago, Shuman Plastics introduced a new type of rapid cleaning agent for plastic processing machinery.
The product, Dyna Purge K, is said to be the first compound that can be used to clean soft contact TPEs (thermoplastic elastomers), TPOs (thermoplastic polyolefins), and TPVs (vulcanized thermoplastic elastomers) processing equipment. Injection molding machines and extruders for processing the above materials in the temperature range of 132-260°C.
Dyna Purge K is softened but does not melt when in use and can flow smoothly through the entire barrel and screw, allowing carbonized and degradable resins and colorants to be rinsed and carried away, and can be cleaned in one operation only, with short equipment downtime. Less scrap and waste generated. In addition, this cleaning agent has high thermal stability and therefore has a long service life.
