Launches Paper for Packaging Containers

Nippon Paper Co., Ltd. has recently undergone repeated trials, using all wood and pulp as raw materials, without adding any synthetic resin, and successfully developed a paper that can be directly pressed into packaging containers.

This new type of paper is 5 to 10 times more flexible than normal paper. If a special metal mold is used, it can be directly pressed into various shapes of paper packaging containers. The paper packaging container has the same strength as a plastic packaging container and can be used to package daily necessities and foods. Not only is its production cost quite cheap, but it can also be recycled and reused.

Japanese environmental experts said that in Japan, plastics needed for the production of food packaging containers in recent years exceed 1 million tons, and up to 2 million tons. Now, with this new type of paper, replacing its plastic packaging containers with its pressed paper packaging containers is expected to open up a huge market.
