1. Wear suitable clothes

On a rainy day, I usually prefer indoor cycling. If I must go out on a rainy day or weather forecast, I will wear reflective gear. Rainwater really does reduce visibility, which is the same for cyclists and drivers, so a bright, breathable jacket is a must-have for traveling in this weather.

Similarly, I would choose to use a closed vented helmet, or you could wear an extra cap to prevent rain from entering the glasses. In addition, the use of optical glasses is also a good choice.

2. Prepare for a drop in grip

I don't like to ride when the ground is frozen, even if the weather is a bit wet, I will ride slower and more cautious. If the rainfall is heavy, I will try to avoid large climbing as much as possible, because it means a sharp drop in grip.

In general, it is reasonable to walk loosely through the motor vehicle fleet, to avoid the slightest change in angle when cornering and to change the way downhill. Remember that sudden braking can lead to insufficient grip. Do this to show respect for your road. Riding on the road in the rain will be safer.

In particular, special attention is required when riding a bicycle on a rainy day. I am aware that many riders will use wider tires, rain tires or simply reduce tire pressure to gain more grip, mainly because of the high risk of turning (the recommended tire pressure is 15-20 psi).
