Development of High-efficiency "Organic Silicone" Cleaner for Printing Machines

In recent years, there have been many kinds of printing machine cleaners (also known as detergents) sold at home and abroad, but there are some deficiencies. Silicone cleaner is a new efficient cleaning agent for printing machines developed from raw materials such as white wax, silicone oil, non-ionic surfactants and water-soluble polymer compounds.

First, raw materials and dosage

1. Vaseline. White oily paste, odorless and tasteless, added to the agent can increase the smoothness, the amount of 0.5% to 1%.

2. Propylene glycol. Colorless and odorless liquid, with good hygroscopicity, as a wetting agent, dosage 2% to 3%.

3. Stearic acid. The use of a glossy, waxy, secondary product film can increase the ductility of the cleansing agent in amounts from 3% to 4%.

4. Cetyl alcohol. Used as emulsifier regulator, both emulsification, decontamination and protection, the amount of 0.5% to 1%.

5. Emulsifier. Mainly from the emulsification, and in the course of the use of oily substances can be emulsified and removed, the amount of 2% to 3%.

6.50# Paraffin wax. It is used as a thickener and has both emulsification and detergency. The amount is 6% to 8%.

7. Dimethyl silicone oil. Odorless, non-toxic, good heat resistance, water resistance, electrical insulation, help to dissolve oily substances, make it easy to wash, while there is a protective effect, the amount of 0.5% to 3%.

8.15# liquid paraffin. Odorless and odorless, used as a detergent, with excellent dissolving effect on various inks, inks and tars, etc. The dosage is 10%.

9. Calcium stearate. Anti-settling agent used, the amount of 3% to 4%.

10. Refined water. The amount of 60% to 65% (including volatile water)

11. EDTA-2Na. As a complexing agent, the amount of 0.2%.

12. Flavors. To impart flavor to this product, a small amount of lemon flavor or other flavor can be added.

13. Color material. To make this product have a certain color, you can add a small amount of color paste harmless to the human body. 14. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). As anti-settling agent, the amount of 5% to 6%.

Second, the operating process

Add the required amount of water to the jacketed enamel kettle, turn on the stirrer, add EDTA disodium and polyvinyl alcohol, open the jacket steam valve, and stir until the polyvinyl alcohol is completely dissolved at 85°C. Stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, paraffin wax and petrolatum were added, and the remaining raw materials were added after the homogenization. Continue stirring at a constant temperature for 30 minutes. Slowly cool to 40°C. Add flavor and coloring materials. Stir the mixture to obtain a stable emulsifying cleaner.

Third, the results and discussion

1. The role of certain major raw materials should be moderate

If the amount of paraffin wax is too large, the ductility of the product will be poor. If the amount of silicone oil is too large, it will affect the detergency of the product; if the amount is too small, it cannot exert its protective effect. Too little emulsifier will make the product less stable; if too much, the dirt will clump and stick to the surface of the object and it will not be easily removed. The amount of water added also directly affects the effect of the decontamination component and cannot be fully exerted.

2. Emulsification temperature and time should be controlled properly

Too low a temperature will result in insufficient emulsification and easy delamination of the product. Excessive temperatures will cause certain materials to evaporate or oxidize. Secondly, the emulsification time after adding the main raw materials should be more than 0.5h, and the cooling rate should not be too fast.

Fourth, the product's use and characteristics

1. Regardless of the type of oil, oil, or ink, paint, and other contamination, the product can be effectively cleaned and cleaned by the use of this product.

2. Use safe and do not corrode objects.

3. It is easy to use. When using, spray the product on the contaminated place and rub it to remove the dirt.
